Gnarls Barkley has a fairly new album called the Odd Couple. On that album are many different songs that range from upbeat to Who’s Gonna Save My Soul? which is more of a mini-episode then an uncut music video. The uncut music video opens up from the perspective of a boy who has his hands covering his face as his girlfriend gives him excuses to why she has to break up with him. He then calmly begins to speak, asking the waitress for a plate he uses to place his heart on after stabbing himself in the chest and pulling it out. All the while Gnarls Barkley is smoothly singing in the background.

The weirdest part about the uncut music video is how nonchalant they are about it. He gives an awesome definition of what it means for his girlfriend to break up with him. Just as the girl realizes what she has done to her ex, the heart sprouts legs, arms and a mouth, picks up a piece of broccoli and starts singing to the diner. This is the most creative uncut music video I have seen in awhile and after watching a couple other videos from Gnarls Barkley’s new album, I am convinced he is one of the best artists in terms of thinking outside the box.
