Pepper is a classic single off the Butthole Surfers 1996, Electriclarryland album. Even if you are not familiar with the band, I bet this uncut music video will spur some memories. This punk band came out of Austin Texas in the mid nineties and left that decade with a few classic songs. As you will see in the uncut music video attached, the band uses out there ideas to create a story around their song. All of their uncut music videos are just as random as they are creative.

Pepper was the Butthole Surfers take on Lou Reed’s classic song, Walk on the Wild Side. The song follows the lives of 10 people and either how they die or how they narrowly escaped death. Sung in a radio friendly way, Pepper was a smash hit when it was released.

If you have any idea why this uncut music video is called Pepper let me know. I have been thinking about this and can’t put two and two together. There are many interpretations of exactly what this uncut music video represents but it defiantly circles around being young and reckless.
