Unlike this uncut music video, the first time I heard of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers was back in the 1980s, it may have been 1986 or 1987. They were performing live at Vanderbilt University and that performance would have been perfect for uncut music videos.
Back then we were all like "what is this?". This is by far my favorite
song from them, when they broke out the rapping at Vandy people
probably thought it was something suited for funny prank videos.
